In 2013, textile company was one of the most dangerous place to work because it would make the workers got lung diseases because they inhaled the textile dusts every day. It was not good for their health because they would get some lung disease such as asthma, allergy, or even bronchitis. Nowadays it becomes issues for people who want to work in textile company. They worry about their health if they work in it so do for people who want to work or who already work in Mr. Abdullah’s company. Here I investigate the issue in Mr. Abdullah’s company.

Relevant Background
Textile company is the most famous company in Jakarta.
There are lots of the industries whether big companies or small companies or
home industries. Mr. Abdullah’s company is one of the home industries textile
company in Jakarta.
Mr. Abdullah’s company is located in H.Nimin 3 168C
Rawa Buaya Cengkareng West Jakarta. It’s a textile company and he sells his
products in many supermarkets in Indonesia. It’s established in 1991. There are
50 workers in Mr. Abdullah’s company. Women are mostly workers there. They work
from 08:00 a.m until 09:00 p.m every day and rest an hour at lunch time. They
will be paid every week for how many cloth they did. Some of them sleep in the
factory.
Mr. Abdullah is the owner of the textile company. Firstly
he opened his company in Duri Kosambi West Jakarta but he moved to Rawa Buaya
in 2006. He has some workers who work for him from the beginning until now.

Result of Investigation
In 2009, a worker in the company was injured because
he doused hot water from iron steam machine and some of the workers ever got
asthma because they inhaled dust from clothes they made. However they could
decrease it by using mouth mask. The owner always sweeps the factory every
evening so there will no dust spread by the wind. Mr. Abdullah is also kind to
the worker even though he will extremely mad if the workers do something wrong
which can caused decreasing the profit for the company.
Yani, one of
the workers who work for Mr. Abdullah since 1991
She stated that she ever got lung disease at the first
time she worked but day by day she can decrease it by using mouth mask and she
also said that Mr. Abdullah is the cleanest person ever. Mr. Abdullah doesn’t
like it when there is any dust and rubbish around the factory. He always wants
everything to be clean. Yani said that she love to work in the company because
she gets profits from what she has done. So if she worked harder she would get
more income and vice versa.
Devi, the
newest worker in the company
I interviewed Devi while she was working. She said
that she hasn’t not got any lung disease yet. Hopefully she doesn’t get any.
She also said that firstly she felt afraid to apply for job in the company but
then she didn’t have anything to do or she was jobless so she came to the
company and met Mr. Abdullah. She joined training test and she passed it so now
she works in the company. She was very happy to know that she passed the test
because she also ever heard that she will get high income if she works in Mr.
Abdullah’s company.

She stated that the workers should wear mouth mask
even though they don’t work or there is no working activity because the dust
will always be there in the factory. The workers might get asthma or even
bronchitis. Those are not zymotic diseases but when someone got TB or Tuberculosis,
it will be spread by the air to someone who doesn’t get TB. However they can
prevent it by using mask or something that can cover your mouth and nose from
the dust and also they have to sweep the factory at least once a day to make
sure that the factory is clean from any dust and bacteria. The owner should
give extra equipment for the workers so they will not get any disease. The
workers also should check their health once per six month so they will always
healthy and can work to get more income for themselves.
